Yumi Koga, Graduate Student
Yumi is from Tokyo, Japan. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Yale University, where she worked with Professor Alanna Schepartz engineering mutant ribosomes to incorporate unnatural substrates, such as beta amino acids, into proteins.
Outside of lab, she enjoys playing the violin, singing, cooking, and visiting art museums.
