Pallavi Gosavi, Postdoctoral Fellow
Pallavi is from Mumbai, India, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Organic Chemistry from Mumbai University. She then moved to Syracuse (the snowiest city in the US) to complete her PhD under the guidance of Professor Ivan Korendovych. Her graduate work focused on engineering proteins and peptides to create functional materials for catalysis and therapeutic applications. She also worked on developing novel fluorescent probes for studying protein function and protein-protein interactions. She joined the Liau lab in February 2018 and is interested in developing new chemical genetic approaches to investigate the mechanism of chromatin dysregulation in cancer. Outside the lab, she enjoys cooking, traveling and visiting scenic parks and lakes with her husband.
